British Gas is offering heat pump installations for £4,999 in an effort to help customers reduce their emissions.
The deal applies to a standard air source heat pump up to 7Kw and a dumb cylinder with a capacity up to 200L, and covers mechanical and electrical installation along with offering five years of interest-free credit and five years of warranty after installation.
“Heat pumps are an essential part of the UK’s journey towards a decarbonised future,” said Andrew Middleton, managing director, Net Zero Ventures, British Gas.
“While we recognise that many households are being cautious with their spending in the current climate, we’re encouraging those customers who can make the move to low carbon heating to do so now, and benefit from the government incentives for early adopters.”
British Gas launched its air source heat pump offering in January, and has now installed over 1,500. This includes the first heat pump installation supported by the government’s boiler upgrade scheme.
The £450 million Boiler Upgrade Scheme offers grants of £5,000 for heat pumps and opened in April 2022.
