A doomsday prepper who is preparing for worldwide ‘collapse’ revealed she’ll be tucking into ‘freeze-dried’ Christmas dinner this year.
Gubba,25, has “scaled up” her preparations to such an extent that she could “go off-grid tomorrow” if all kicks off. She is bracing for the worst by accumulating everything from provisions to medical kit, seeds and compost – with every spare penny directed towards her smallholding.
However, that doesn’t prevent her from savouring simple joys, such as enjoying a delicious feast during the festive season. This Christmas, she’ll savour a serving of roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green beans and apple pie for pudding – with one crucial distinction.

She prepared it all last year; the components are freeze-dried and packaged in silver pouches, similar to how space travellers dine.
“I’m not planning for Christmas this year – I’m planning for collapse,” Gubba, who boasts two million Instagram followers @gubbahomstead, told NeedToKnow.
“Every extra dollar goes toward my stockpile and home systems – food preservation, water storage, off-grid power, and security.
“To most people that sounds extreme but I see it as buying freedom.
“I’ve significantly expanded my stockpile [as of late] and doubled down on food preparation and long-term storage.
“At this point, my pantry could feed a family of five for ten years.”
