We recently did a solar and battery install very local to us – this was in Hemel Hempstead and we’re based in Kings Langley. The solar was a large array of 24 panels, each 375W giving a total power of 9 kWp, connected to a Sofar 7.5 kW solar inverter. We handled the necessary permissions as well as the install.

The battery system consisted of a GivEnergy 3 kW battery inverter and a GivEnergy 8.2 kWh battery. We are installing an increasing number of these systems as they have additional interesting features, like the ability to interface to the Octopus Agile tariff (with electricity prices changing every 30 minutes) to charge up on cheap electricity.
