We are big fans of energy storage and are continuing with our plans to offer solar and battery storage products to our electric car customers. Yesterday we attended the Solar & Storage Live event at the NEC in Birmingham and had discussions with a number of suppliers.
What struck me while looking around was the number of suppliers who have integrated solar generation with electric car charging systems. I was particularly taken with the Myenergi Zappi home charge point which is clever enough to charge your car only while there’s spare (free) electricity available from your solar panels. And at a price that is comparable to more conventional (i.e. ‘dumb’) units.
