Today, the new Dutch government presented its detailed plan for the coming years and it includes making all new cars emission-free by 2030 – virtually banning petrol- and diesel-powered cars in favor of battery-powered vehicles.
While having a good like around the new Nissan Leaf at last week’s reveal, I took the opportunity to take some photo’s of the interior.
Last week Nissan took over the Milton Keynes EV Experience Centre (EVEC) for the first UK reveal of the new Nissan Leaf (‘Leaf 2.0’ or ‘Leaf 2.Zero’). Thursday morning was for invited industry guests and Thursday afternoon to Saturday afternoon was for the public.
Electric car sales in the UK have hit record levels as Brits look to ditch diesel and petrol in favour of a zero-emissions vehicle before the 2040 ban takes hold.
It is no exaggeration to say that I loved the Renault Zoe – and since I drove it at Mallon Motors a couple of weeks ago, I’ve been gabbing to anyone willing to listen that it is the most impressive thing I’ve driven in ages.
New sales of petrol and diesel cars will be banned by 2040 in the UK, which has since been joined by France.
