Tanjent Coverage

Maintenance Contract Purpose

A regular maintenance schedule is highly recommended and delivers the following benefits:

  1. Minimise downtime.
  2. Maximise system efficiency.
  3. Maximise return on investment.
  4. Ensure safe operation.

Principal Contract Actions

Any contract may comprise one or more of the following options:

  1. Quarterly online data review:
    1. Logging into the system monitoring platform and reviewing charge/generation data and alerts.
    2. Even if the system is operating well, a regular check may flag up any minor issues arising in the installed system. This could lead to an action point for an annual electrical site visit or possibly an additional site visit if something more urgent is identified.
  1. Annual electrical and mechanical condition check:
    1. Visual inspection of DC cables and joints.
    2. DC string voltage check if applicable.
    3. Visual inspection of installed AC cables, components and boards.
    4. Inspect and tighten all component terminals.
    5. Annual mechanical condition check for Solar systems:
      1. Inspect clamps visually (by drone if not otherwise reachable)
      2. If panels can be reached, also test a sample for tightness.
      3. Inspect frames, ballast, hooks for any visual damage.
      4. Inspect roof for any signs of degradation.
  1. Annual panel cleaning for Solar systems:
    1. Using purified water only (no pressure cleaning)
    2. Removes dust, debris and bird droppings to maximise generation.
  1. Additional services by agreement: If additional works are needed these are priced on demand.

Outputs

  1. Quarterly generation report flagging any issues or trends
  2. Annual site report, covering all the areas detailed above.

Charge Structure

Prices are correct as of 1st November 2025. Inflationary price rises shall be applied 1st Nov 2026.

  1. £499 + VAT annually in advance. This includes the supply of four quarterly data reports.
  2. £998 + VAT annually two weeks prior to the electrical and mechanical condition check.
  3. Price on application: annually two weeks prior to the panel cleaning.
  4. £499 + VAT for any additional site days requested.

Scheduling

Once the contract is agreed, preliminary dates for the next year are agreed. These are subject to change as required by either party based on events/weather etc.

The Small Print

Please note that the following applies:

  1. Cable inspections are of visible cables. Cables concealed in conduit will only be accessed if there is reason to believe disturbance i.e. cuts made to conduit etc.
  2. Local vehicle parking/access required.
  3. Tanjent are unable to remove nesting birds by law.
  4. The online data review can only be carried out if the system is online and monitoring data is available. If not available this will be raised to the client.
